Sustainability vision and commitment

Upholding the spirit of sustainable operations, ESMT works hard on the governance, environment, and social front.

Through coordinating resource planning, ESMT has established a long-term partnership with customers, suppliers, and society groups. ESMT also offers good working conditions, cares for employees, and maintain a good safety/ health/ environment standard, thereby fulfilling its responsibility as a corporate citizen. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, the raging pandemic worldwide has thrown the society and economy alike into turmoil, thereby sending global macro economy into uncertainty.

Meanwhile, the increasing frequency of occurrence of extreme weather resulting from climate change has caused disasters around the world, posing a great threat to the existence and property of mankind. This draws great attention to the issues concerning corporate sustainable development.

A s such, the importance of ESG has become the consensus among enterprises. ESMT commits to the vision of "upholding the ideal of corporate sustainability while developing new technologies and new products and becoming the world's top IC supplier and best partner". ESMT commits to paying close attention to stakeholders' rights and expectation, valuing the influence of ESG on corporate operations, and working with stakeholders to pursue the sustainable growth of an enterprise and the society.

Corporate Sustainability Committee

Adhering to the principle of corporate sustainable development, ESMT pursues business interest while attending to the issues concerning stakeholders and making improvement, so as to fulfill its corporate social responsibility on the ESG front, thereby improving the sustainable operations performance. ESMT established the Corporate Sustainability Committee in October 2020, which will take charge of assessing the risks and rewards associated with sustainable operations and formulating the vision and strategy requisite for corporate sustainability, so as to enhance governance, partnership, environmental sustainability, friendly workplace, and charitable events. The chairperson of the committee is the Chairman of the Board; the deputy chairperson of the committee is the President. They review the effectiveness of promoting corporate sustainability in committee meetings, and report the annual execution results to the Board of Directors.

ESMT's Corporate Sustainability Committee comprises four task forces: Governance Task Force; Partnership Task Force; Environmental Sustainability Task Force; and Friendly Workplace and Charitable Events Task Force. Members come from each relevant functional unit ; the Corporate Sustainability Committee assigns members to be the task force chief, who shall plan and super vise the task force's operation and regularly convenes a meeting. Additionally, ESMT's Corporate Sustainability Committee has set up the post of executive secretary, who is responsible for coordinating the promotion of corporate sustainability issues of concern among the task forces, convening the Corporate Sustainability Committee meetings, and compiling the Sustainability

Report.

To strengthen sustainable governance, following a resolution by the 10th Board of Directors in June 2025, a committee under the Board of Directors of the Company will be upgraded and reorganized as the "Sustainable Development Committee" in order to achieve the Company's sustainable development goals.
